The last several months have been difficult for all of us. The pandemic and resulting economic downturn along with multiple rounds of severe weather are now compounded by our nation’s ongoing challenges of injustice and inequality. The recent senseless acts of racism, violence, and murder are shedding new light on the long-standing issue of racial injustice and the struggle for civil rights. We are all horrified and heartbroken by these events and stand with all who mourn and have been so negatively impacted by hate and racism.
As we continue to process recent events, Omni Family staff are giving thought to how we can be a beacon of hope and healing for the communities we serve and for our teammates. We’re committed to cherishing one another, listening to each other, and fully sustaining each other throughout this experience and going forward.
When opportunities arise to address injustice and inequality in our daily lives – whether on behalf of our clients, foster parents or ourselves – we are committed to and will confront it head on.
